A traffic stop on Plank Road resulted in the arrest of an Orange woman on a DUI charge after a Fredericksburg police officer reportedly observed a vehicle traveling 21 mph over the posted speed limit.
Officer McCurdy observed a vehicle traveling 66 mph in a posted 45 mph zone. During the traffic stop, the officer observed signs of impairment from the driver, identified as Mary Woodward, 40, of Orange.
Woodward was subsequently arrested for DUI and transported to the Rappahannock Regional Jail. She was held on a $5,000 bond.
