Deputy H.R. Perkins investigated a fraud case on Dorothy Lane where a victim reported that her WhatsApp account had been hacked. A scammer used her account to message contacts, requesting money. Unfortunately, one of her contacts believed the request and sent funds to the scammer. Authorities are continuing to investigate the cybercrime.
