An attempted theft at Target was thwarted after a man loaded nearly $2,000 worth of electronics into a cart and tried to leave the store without paying. Staff intervened after he passed all points of sale. The suspect admitted to the theft, explaining he intended to pawn the items for money to fund a casino trip. He was charged with grand larceny and larceny with intent to sell, and is being held on a secured bond.
