A speeding driver was pulled over by Sergeant E. E. West, who noticed telltale signs of intoxication, including red, glassy eyes and a strong odor of alcohol. The driver, Bryce Whitaker, 34, of Woodbridge, failed field sobriety tests and was arrested. He was charged with DUI (second offense in five years) and reckless driving. Whitaker was held without bond at the Rappahannock Regional Jail.
