Deputy E. L. Jones responded to a complaint of a drunk driver seen near the ABC Store on White Oak Road. The suspect, who had attempted to enter the store while visibly intoxicated, fled in a silver SUV. The vehicle was later stopped on Deacon Road. The driver, James Fitzpatrick, 70, of Stafford, was arrested for driving under the influence after field sobriety tests confirmed impairment.
