A Stafford resident fell victim to a series of scam phone calls involving Apple gift cards. Deputy I. A. Ramos responded to the fraud complaint after the resident reported receiving multiple calls from an unknown individual requesting Apple gift card purchases. One of the callers promised a large cash return in exchange for the cards. Authorities remind citizens to be cautious of such scams and never provide payment or gift card information to unsolicited callers.
