A vigilant school resource officer at Brooke Point High School was notified of a student suspected of possessing a firearm. The officer swiftly located the student and discovered a firearm inside the student’s backpack. The juvenile was arrested and taken to the Juvenile Detention Center. Charges include possession of a firearm on school property, concealed weapon possession, and underage firearm possession. Authorities confirm there was no threat to the school community.
