A deputy conducting radar enforcement observed a vehicle traveling 68 mph in a 45 mph zone. When deputies attempted a traffic stop, the driver failed to pull over despite emergency lights and sirens being activated.
The vehicle briefly stopped at a traffic signal before continuing. With assistance from additional deputies, the vehicle was eventually slowed and stopped.
The driver, Anita Asante, 45, of Stafford, was arrested and charged with misdemeanor eluding and reckless driving. She was held at Rappahannock Regional Jail on a secured bond.
