Deputy S. A. Fulford responded to a single-vehicle crash in the 200 block of Brooke Road during the early morning hours Tuesday.
Upon arrival, the vehicle was located after it had run off the roadway and into a ditch near an old retention pond area. The driver, identified as Leslie Rickmon, 36, of Stafford, displayed signs of intoxication, according to authorities.
Rickmon declined to participate in field sobriety tests and was taken into custody. She also refused to submit to a breath sample. Rickmon was charged with driving under the influence, refusal to submit to a breath test, and reckless driving. She was remanded to the Rappahannock Regional Jail.
