Deputy Trainor responded to a fraud complaint involving a mortgage payment check.
The victim reported mailing a check to their mortgage company but later discovered it had not been received. Upon reviewing their bank account, the victim saw the check had been altered and deposited under another name.
Deputy Trainor advised the victim to notify their bank. Attempts to follow up with the victim later were unsuccessful.
