Deputy Ferrell responded to a suspicious vehicle parked at the Town and Country 7-11 on White Oak Road after employees reported the vehicle had remained there for more than three hours.

When employees asked the driver to leave, the driver reportedly became argumentative and the store manager requested that the individual be trespassed. The driver claimed they were waiting for a call from a parent and had run out of gas.

During the investigation, the deputy observed signs of intoxication and noticed an open case of alcoholic beverages in the backseat. The driver was identified as Desiree Burns, 18, of Boston, and was arrested for public intoxication. Burns was taken to Rappahannock Regional Jail and held until sober.
