Deputy Newman responded to a report of a disabled vehicle and located a car in a ditch with no occupants nearby.
Shortly afterward, an individual arrived and claimed ownership of the vehicle, admitting they had been drinking earlier in the evening and lost control while turning. Deputies observed signs of intoxication and conducted field sobriety testing.
The driver, Daniel Delgado, 20, of Stafford, was arrested after a breath test confirmed his blood alcohol content exceeded the legal limit. Delgado was charged with driving under the influence and held at Rappahannock Regional Jail until sober.
