Deputies responded to a larceny complaint at an ABC store where a suspect allegedly stole a bottle of alcohol.
When confronted, the suspect attempted to avoid deputies and falsely claimed to be a minor. The individual showed clear signs of intoxication and resisted attempts to detain them. An unopened bottle of alcohol was found in their possession, and video evidence confirmed the theft.
Robert Schneider, 36, of Stafford, was arrested and charged with public intoxication, obstructing justice, and petit larceny. He was held at Rappahannock Regional Jail until sober.
