A traffic stop was conducted after a driver was observed failing to maintain their lane and making an illegal U-turn at a red light.
The driver denied drinking but showed signs of impairment, including glassy eyes and the odor of alcohol. The driver refused both field sobriety and breath tests. Open alcoholic beverages were later found in the vehicle.
Jennifer Capote, 43, of Stafford, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence, refusal to test, a traffic violation, and drinking while operating a motor vehicle. She was held without bond.
