A missing person investigation in Stafford County led to an arrest early Thursday morning.
Deputies responded to Little Falls Road after receiving a report of a missing individual. When deputies located the person, they observed clear signs of intoxication, including the smell of alcohol, glassy eyes, and slurred speech.
The individual refused to provide a breath sample and became resistant while being taken into custody. Deputies were ultimately able to detain the suspect and transport them to the Magistrate’s Office.
Dominique Chaves, 23, of Fredericksburg, was charged with public intoxication and held at Rappahannock Regional Jail until sober.
