A late-night encounter with a suspicious vehicle resulted in multiple charges for a Fredericksburg man already facing a revoked license.
A sergeant observed the vehicle and made contact at a business on Cool Springs Road, where the driver showed signs of intoxication, including slurred speech, glassy eyes, and an unsteady stance. Further investigation revealed the driver’s license had been revoked due to a prior DUI.
The driver refused to participate in field sobriety testing and was arrested. While being transported, the suspect reportedly became combative, making threats and attempting to remove handcuffs.
At the Sheriff’s Office, the suspect refused to provide a breath sample.
Michael Louis, 23, of Fredericksburg, was charged with a second DUI within five years, driving after forfeiting a license, and refusal to submit to testing. He was held without bond.
