DUI Arrest Following Crash at Stafford Grocery Store

A crash at a Stafford grocery store led to the arrest of a driver suspected of being under the influence.

Deputies responded to the scene after receiving reports that a driver made a sudden U-turn on Route 1, causing the collision. Upon contact, the driver showed signs of impairment, including the odor of alcohol and glassy eyes, and admitted to drinking earlier in the day.

Field sobriety tests were conducted, and the driver was arrested. A subsequent breath test confirmed the individual’s blood alcohol content was above the legal limit.

The driver, identified as 41-year-old Kendall Jones of Stafford, was charged with driving under the influence and making an illegal U-turn.
