Deputy Kotter responded to a fraud complaint involving unauthorized bank activity along Richmond Highway. The victim told authorities they discovered a suspicious transaction on their bank account shortly after checking into a hotel.
After noticing the unauthorized charge, the victim contacted both the hotel and their financial institution. The bank reportedly froze the account and canceled the affected card as a precaution.
No suspects have been identified as the investigation remains ongoing.
