Deputy Pitts responded to a fraud investigation on Hamlin Drive after a victim discovered multiple fraudulent accounts had been opened using their identity. According to the report, the victim learned of the issue after a loan application was denied due to the unauthorized accounts.
The suspect also allegedly used one of the fraudulent accounts to write checks. The victim was advised to report the activity to the Federal Trade Commission while authorities documented the incident for further investigation. No suspects have been identified at this time.
