Deputies responded to a reported shoplifting incident Tuesday afternoon at the Target store on South Gateway Drive.
According to the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office, store loss prevention personnel stopped a woman after she allegedly concealed merchandise beneath her purse and attempted to leave the store without paying.
Surveillance footage reportedly captured the suspect entering the store, hiding merchandise, and passing all points of sale. The suspect was identified as Toba Hamidi, 61, of Lorton.
Hamidi was charged with concealment, released on a court summons, and trespassed from the property.
