A traffic stop on Manning Drive led to the arrest of a Fredericksburg man on multiple charges after deputies observed a vehicle being driven erratically. Investigators reported that both the driver and passenger displayed signs of alcohol impairment and admitted to drinking earlier in the day. Following field sobriety testing and breath analysis, 26-year-old Carlos Vargas Garcia was charged with driving under the influence, driving without a license, and a traffic lane violation. He was held at Rappahannock Regional Jail on a secured bond. Passenger Pedro Estrada, 29, was charged with public intoxication and held until sober.
