A Stafford man was arrested after deputies investigated an assault stemming from an argument in a residential neighborhood.
According to the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office, the victim reported getting into an argument with another individual who allegedly shoved them. Deputies observed a visible injury on the victim.
Investigators reviewed nearby surveillance footage that showed the suspect running toward the victim, although the actual altercation was not captured on video. When deputies spoke with the suspect, he admitted to pushing the victim.
The suspect, identified as 36-year-old Kendrick Washington of Stafford, was arrested and charged with assault and battery. He was later released with a scheduled court date.
