A Stafford man was arrested for public intoxication after deputies responded to a report of an intoxicated person near the Wawa on Garrisonville Road.
Deputies observed the man bent over and swaying before making contact. According to investigators, he admitted to smoking marijuana earlier that day and displayed signs of impairment, including dilated pupils and glassy eyes.
Shawn Hamm, 30, of Stafford, was arrested and charged with public intoxication. He was held at Rappahannock Regional Jail until sober.
