The Stafford County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fraud involving unauthorized credit card transactions.
The victim reported receiving an alert indicating airline tickets had been purchased using their account without authorization. The victim contacted both their bank and the airline, which opened investigations into the transactions.
The victim’s bank also canceled the compromised card.
No suspects have been identified.
