Two people were arrested after Stafford County deputies investigating a suspicious person complaint discovered narcotics and drug paraphernalia outside a Holiday Inn.
Deputy E. Jones responded to the hotel after receiving reports that two individuals were stumbling around outside the building. One of the suspects showed signs of impairment, including difficulty staying awake and enlarged pupils. A search of the suspect’s backpack uncovered narcotics and drug paraphernalia.
Paul Damanda, 57, of Woodbridge, and Brittany Beal, 33, of Manassas, were both charged with two counts of possession of a Schedule I or II controlled substance. Damanda was released on an unsecured bond, while Beal was held without bond at Rappahannock Regional Jail.
