Deputies responded to a fraud report involving a computer scam on Madison Court.
The victim told authorities their computer displayed what appeared to be a Microsoft error message directing them to call a customer service number. The caller instructed the victim to transfer money into another account to “secure” the funds. After realizing it was a scam, the victim contacted their bank and requested a police report for the ongoing investigation.
