A 26-year-old Fredericksburg man was arrested after a deputy responded to a reckless driver report on Leeland Road.
The Sheriff’s Office said the driver showed signs of impairment, including glassy eyes and a strong odor of alcohol, and admitted consuming alcohol. Field sobriety tests were administered before the driver was arrested.
An investigation also determined that the driver did not have a valid driver’s license. A breath sample at the Sheriff’s Office indicated his blood alcohol content was above the legal limit.
Gerson Pineda Mich, 26, of Fredericksburg, was charged with driving under the influence and driving without a valid license. He was held at the Rappahannock Regional Jail on a secured bond.
