A traffic stop near Geico Boulevard and Stafford Lakes Parkway resulted in a DUI arrest early Thursday morning.
A Stafford County Sheriff’s deputy observed a vehicle being driven erratically and conducted a traffic stop. Police said the driver displayed signs of impairment, including slurred speech, glassy eyes and an odor of alcohol on her breath. The driver also admitted to consuming alcohol immediately before driving.
After field sobriety testing, the driver was arrested. A subsequent breath sample at the Sheriff’s Office indicated that her blood alcohol content was above the legal limit.
Bridgitte Castillo, 51, of Fredericksburg, was charged with driving under the influence and a traffic lane violation. She was held at Rappahannock Regional Jail without bond.
