A 50-year-old Stafford man was arrested after a traffic stop at Tamar Creek Lane and Richmond Highway led to the discovery of a concealed firearm.
Deputy Copeland observed a vehicle with an expired registration and conducted a traffic stop. During the encounter, the driver reportedly admitted to having a firearm without a concealed carry permit.
The firearm was located inside a concealed carry holster, and an initial investigation confirmed that the driver did not have a concealed carry permit.
The driver was identified as Robert Walker, 50, of Stafford. Walker was charged with carrying a concealed weapon without a permit and driving with an expired registration.
Walker was held at Rappahannock Regional Jail on a secured bond.
