A traffic stop at Blue and Gray Parkway and Kings Highway resulted in the arrest of a 54-year-old Falmouth woman and the discovery of narcotics, according to the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputy Waheed observed a vehicle failing to maintain its lane and conducted a traffic stop. An initial investigation determined that the driver had a revoked license and that the vehicle was uninsured and unregistered. Authorities also confirmed the driver was wanted in Fredericksburg.
The driver was arrested, and a search of the vehicle resulted in the discovery of several narcotics and drug paraphernalia. Authorities reported that additional narcotics were found on the driver’s person at Rappahannock Regional Jail.
The driver was identified as Kathryn Howell, 54, of Falmouth. Howell was charged with possession of Schedule I or II controlled substances, driving after forfeiture of a license, driving an unregistered vehicle, driving without insurance, possession of controlled paraphernalia, a traffic lane violation and prisoner in possession of an unlawful chemical compound. She was also served with her outstanding warrants.
Howell was held at Rappahannock Regional Jail without bond.
