A 25-year-old Woodbridge driver was arrested for driving under the influence following a traffic stop at Brentham Farm Drive and Kings Highway.
Deputy Daigle observed a vehicle being driven without its taillights activated and conducted a traffic stop. During the encounter, the driver reportedly displayed signs of impairment, including bloodshot eyes and a strong odor of alcohol coming from their breath.
The driver admitted to consuming alcohol earlier that day. Field sobriety tests were administered, and a breath sample was received before the driver was arrested.
At the Sheriff’s Office, authorities said the driver refused to provide a breath or blood sample, resulting in an additional charge.
The driver was identified as Yririan Hernandez-Ayala, 25, of Woodbridge. Hernandez-Ayala was charged with driving under the influence and refusal to test.
