A 31-year-old Fredericksburg man was arrested after a Stafford County deputy reportedly observed him stumbling in the roadway on Plantation Drive while holding an alcoholic beverage.
Deputy Sayegh approached the man to check on him and observed signs of impairment, according to the Sheriff’s Office. Those signs reportedly included an odor of alcohol coming from his breath, an unsteady balance and slurred speech.
The man was identified as Vernon Regins, 31, of Fredericksburg. Regins was charged with public intoxication and held at Rappahannock Regional Jail until sober.
