A 42-year-old Stafford resident was arrested for driving under the influence after a deputy noticed an improperly parked vehicle on Garrisonville Road.
Deputy O’Donnell contacted the driver and reported signs of impairment, including an odor of alcohol, glassy eyes and slurred speech. The driver later acknowledged consuming alcohol earlier in the day, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
Field sobriety tests were administered, and the driver declined a breath sample before being arrested.
The driver was identified as Eugenia Pontacq, 42, of Stafford. Pontacq was charged with driving under the influence.
