Stafford Man Arrested for DUI Following Report of Erratic Driving on Garrisonville Road

Location: Garrisonville Road, Stafford VA Time: October 17, 2026, 11:23 p.m.

A 43-year-old Stafford man was arrested on a driving under the influence charge after deputies responded to a report of a vehicle failing to maintain its lane on Garrisonville Road.

Deputy Ramos of the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office located the driver and observed several reported indicators of alcohol impairment, including glassy eyes, slurred speech, unsteady balance, and an odor of alcohol.

The driver acknowledged consuming alcohol earlier in the day but refused to participate in field sobriety tests or provide an initial breath sample.

Deputies subsequently arrested the driver and located alcoholic beverages inside his vehicle.

At the sheriff’s office, a breath test indicated that the man’s blood alcohol concentration was above the legal limit.

The driver was charged with driving under the influence and held at Rappahannock Regional Jail on a secured bond.
