Stafford Man Arrested on DUI and Assault Charges Following Disturbance on Eustace Road

Location: Eustace Road, Stafford, VA
Time: October 24, 2026, 11:20 p.m.

A 36-year-old Stafford man was arrested on multiple charges, including driving under the influence and assault and battery, following a reported disturbance on Eustace Road late October 24.

According to the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office, Deputy O’Donnell responded at approximately 11:20 p.m. after receiving a report of an intoxicated individual acting aggressively toward other people.

Authorities were informed that the individual had left the original location in a vehicle.

Deputies subsequently located the vehicle improperly parked in a nearby parking lot.

When officers contacted the suspect, they observed several signs of possible alcohol impairment, including an odor of alcohol on his breath, slurred speech, and glassy eyes.

Investigators reviewed surveillance footage that showed the suspect driving to the location where the vehicle was found.

Police reported that the man refused to participate in field sobriety tests or provide a breath sample.

He was subsequently arrested.

During the investigation, deputies also determined that the man did not possess a driver’s license.

After being transported to the Sheriff’s Office, the suspect again refused to provide breath or blood samples, resulting in an additional charge.

Deputies also interviewed witnesses and determined that the man had allegedly assaulted another individual at the original location.

The suspect was charged with driving under the influence, driving without a license, refusal to submit to testing, and assault and battery.

He was held at Rappahannock Regional Jail on a secured bond.

The charges are allegations, and the man is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
