Deputies responded to a suspicious person’s call. The reporting party advised a male she knew from high school was randomly asleep in his vehicle in her driveway. Deputies contacted the suspect, who they knew from prior incidents, and asked for consent to search the vehicle. The suspect advised there was nothing illegal within the vehicle and gave deputies permission to search the vehicle. Approximately ten seconds into the search, deputies located a suspected controlled substance. The suspect was detained as additional paraphernalia was located, as well as, ammunition. He was charged with possession of controlled substances, felon in possession of ammunition, and possession of controlled paraphernalia. He was held at Rappahannock Regional Jail on a $1,500 secured bond.
