Drug Recognition Expert Deputy D.S. Jett was traveling Eastbound when he observed a vehicle having difficulty staying in its lane. Deputy Jett conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver. The driver had signs of intoxication, admitted to consuming “maybe two drinks,” had two empty alcoholic bottles within her vehicle, and had no driver’s license. At the Rappahannock Regional Jail Intake, a suspected controlled substance was located hidden within her wallet. She was charged with driving under the influence, possession of a controlled substance, driving without a license, and the traffic lane violation. She was held on a $5,000 secured bond.
