Deputy S.T. Myers conducted a traffic stop on a Toyota for a traffic lane violation as Deputy E.T. Osborn responded to assist. The driver had strong signs of intoxication, admitted to consuming two beers, but despite that, advised “I feel like I’m good.” When it was discovered he was not as “good” as he thought, the driver’s behavior became less than pleased with deputies. Despite openly admitting to consuming alcohol prior to driving, he believed it did not constitute an arrest and the incident was “bull.” The driver was charged with driving under the influence, refusal, and the traffic lane violation. He was held at Rappahannock Regional Jail until sober.
