Deputy E.L. Shelton responded to an unfortunate Uber undertaking. The caller, an Uber driver, advised he reached his passenger’s destination. Whence there, the passenger refused to exit the vehicle and instead assaulted the Uber driver. Deputy Shelton made contact with the suspect and discovered he was in an intoxicated state. He was charged with assault and battery, as well as, public intoxication. He was held at Rappahannock Regional Jail pending his ability to participate in a bond hearing.
