Authorities are investigating a theft that occurred at a Virginia ABC store on Publix Way Wednesday afternoon. Sergeant Leckemby responded to the scene after reports that a suspect had stolen two bottles of alcohol.
Store surveillance footage showed the individual placing the items in their pocket and attempting to make a purchase. However, when unable to provide identification, the suspect left the store without completing the transaction—taking the concealed alcohol with them.
A search of the surrounding area did not lead to the suspect, and employees were advised to contact law enforcement if the individual returns.
