Deputy Keens responded to a fraud complaint involving an altered check on Willow Landing Road. The victim told deputies that a check mailed to them was reportedly stolen before delivery.
Authorities say the suspect altered the check and successfully cashed it. The victim has already notified the IRS regarding the incident. Investigators have not identified any suspects at this time.
