A Stafford resident reported a fraud incident after attempting to mail money orders to pay bills, only to discover they never reached their destination.
Deputy Gildea responded and learned from the victim’s bank that the money orders had been altered and deposited into a different account. Authorities have not identified any suspects, and the investigation remains ongoing.
