Stephon Davis, 29, of Richmond, was taken into custody following a shoplifting investigation that began at the Target store located on Carl D. Silver Parkway in Fredericksburg. Police were dispatched after receiving a report that suspects had allegedly stolen Lego merchandise and were leaving the area in a U-Haul vehicle.
According to Fredericksburg Police, officers located the U-Haul and conducted a traffic stop. The driver was identified as Stephon Davis and was taken into custody without incident. Investigators allege that Davis participated in the theft alongside a second suspect who fled separately.
Davis was charged with:
- Shoplifting/Altering Merchandise Over $1,000
- Conspiracy to Commit Larceny Over $1,000
- Organized Retail Theft Over $5,000 Within 90 Days
