Deputy R.A. Kehoe responded to a disturbance. It was discovered a male suspect broke the victim’s cellphone. This resulted in a verbal disagreement that escalated when the suspect assaulted the female. He would also brandish a firearm towards friends of the victim during the ordeal. The suspect was detained by deputies and charged with malicious wounding, two counts of assault and battery, destruction of property, and brandishing a firearm. He was held at Rappahannock Regional Jail without bond.
