An altercation between two women at Jay’s Sports Lounge escalated when one tried to prevent the other from driving intoxicated by taking her keys. In retaliation, the suspect assaulted the victim and dragged her outside by her hair. In self-defense, the victim used pepper spray. The suspect was arrested and charged with assault and battery as well as public intoxication. She remains held without bond at Rappahannock Regional Jail.
