An apparent attempted vehicle theft is under investigation after damage was discovered on a car parked at the Staffordboro Commuter Lot.
The victim reported finding damage to the manual lock on the driver’s side door, with part of the mechanism broken and lying nearby. Upon inspection, a deputy confirmed the lock had been forcibly punched out.
No entry into the vehicle was reported, and no items appeared to be taken.
Authorities believe the damage was the result of an attempted theft. The investigation remains ongoing.
