STAFFORD, VA – A woman enjoying lunch at Pratt Park returned to her vehicle to find a smashed window and her purse missing.
Deputy A.E. Epps responded to the scene and confirmed that the Lexus the victim was driving had been broken into. The thief had fled with the purse before deputies arrived.
Authorities urge park visitors to keep valuables out of sight and report any suspicious activity. Anyone with information should contact the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office at (540) 658-4450.
