A fraud investigation is underway after a resident reported unauthorized transactions following a phone call from people claiming to represent Chase Bank.
Sergeant Dominguez responded to Nebula Lane, where the victim reported that callers claimed there were unauthorized transactions on the victim’s account. The callers instructed the victim to provide personally identifiable information in order to receive a new card.
After providing the information, the victim discovered several unauthorized transactions on the account. The victim contacted their legitimate bank, which canceled the card.
