While searching for a loose dog, Animal Control Officer K.L. Busch noticed two unattended children dangerously close to the busy Richmond Highway. Officer Busch intervened and, with assistance from Deputy J.L. Jones, safely returned the children to their residence. Deputies contacted their mother, who was unaware the children had left. Two warrants for contributing to the delinquency of a minor were obtained, and Child Protective Services was notified.
