A 68-year-old Stafford man was arrested following a reported cigarette theft at the Wawa on Garrisonville Road.
Deputies were told that a suspect stole multiple boxes of cigarettes and left the store. The suspect was located walking along Garrisonville Road while holding boxes of cigarettes, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
Surveillance footage reportedly showed the suspect selecting several boxes of cigarettes and passing all points of sale without paying. He then allegedly attempted to take additional boxes before an employee intervened.
Clarence Skinner, 68, of Stafford, was charged with shoplifting and held at the Rappahannock Regional Jail without bond.
